Euromed Postal 2020 (Traditional Gastronomy in the Mediterranean) stamp on cover from Slovenia

Timbre Euromed Postal 2020 (Gastronomie traditionnelle de la Méditerranée) sur lettre de Slovénie

Sauf erreur, à ce jour, seulement 12 administrations postales (sur les 23 pays membres de l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée - PUMed) ont émis un timbre ou une série de timbres "Euromed Postal" cette année : Slovénie, Grèce, Chypre, Liban, Malte, Croatie, Espagne, France, Portugal, Maroc, Tunisie, Turquie.
Pour rappel, depuis 2014, certains pays membres émettent chaque année un timbre consacré à un thème méditerranéen commun.
La poste slovène participe depuis 2014 et a mis en circulation le 13 juillet 2020 un 7ème joli timbre Euromed Postal (conception : Edi Berk), incluant le logo en vigueur (faucon stylisé), illustrant le thème de cette année, la gastronomie traditionnelle de la Méditerranée ("tradicionalna gastronomija Sredozemlja" en slovène). 
Unless I'm mistaken, to date, only 12 postal administrations (out of the 23 member countries of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean - PUMed) have issued a "Euromed Postal" stamp or series of stamps this year: Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus, Lebanon, Malta, Croatia, Spain, France, Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey.
As a reminder, since 2014, some member countries have issued each year a stamp dedicated to a common Mediterranean theme.
The Slovenian Post has been participating since 2014 and put into circulation on July 13, 2020 a 7th attractive Euromed Postal stamp (design: Edi Berk), including the official logo (a stylized falcon), illustrating the theme of this year, the traditional gastronomy in the Mediterranean ("tradicionalna gastronomija Sredozemlja" in Slovene).

 

Ce timbre (tarif permanent "D" pour un envoi ordinaire international 1ère classe - 1,31€ actuellement, tirage : 40000) figure sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 28 juillet 2020 depuis la capitale slovène, Ljubljana. Merci beaucoup Petra !
La partie slovène de la péninsule d'Istrie, dans le sud du pays, regorge de spécialités culinaires et de produits naturels typiques de la diète méditerranéenne, en particulier l'huile d'olive extra vierge produite dans la région des collines de Goriška Brda et la vallée de la rivière Vipava.
Un bouteille de cette huile est représentée sur ce timbre, à coté d'un ragoût traditionnel appelé jota d'Istrie (souvent accompagné de polenta) et de bars provenant de la ferme piscicole de Fonda dans le golfe de Piran (située au point le plus méridional des eaux territoriales slovènes), réputés pour leur haute qualité.
Les deux vins les plus remarquables de la partie slovène de la péninsule istrienne, le Refosco (refošk, vin rouge) et le Malvasia (malvazija, vin blanc) sont également à l'honneur sur ce timbre.

The Slovenian part of the Istrian peninsula in the south of the country is full of culinary specialties and natural products typical of the Mediterranean diet, in particular extra virgin olive oil produced in the Goriška Brda hill region and the valley of the Vipava river.
A bottle of this oil is depicted on this stamp, alongside a traditional stew called Istrian jota (often accompanied by polenta) and sea bass from the Fonda fish farm in the Gulf of Piran (located at the southernmost point of Slovenia's territorial waters), renowned for their high quality.
The two most remarkable wines from the Slovenian part of the Istrian peninsula, Refosco (refošk, red wine) and Malvasia (malvazija, white wine) are also featured on this stamp.
