“Postcrossing” and “Marriage of the Hereditary Couple” stamps on cover from Luxembourg

Timbres "Postcrossing" et "Mariage du couple héritier" sur lettre du Luxembourg

Depuis 2011, une trentaine d'administrations postales a consacré des timbres à Postcrossing (Belarus, Roumanie, Pays-Bas, Indonésie, Irlande, Malaisie, Hongrie, Moldavie, Pologne, Slovénie, Suisse, République tchèque, Estonie, Finlande, Autriche, Allemagne, Guernesey, Ukraine, Russie, Kazakhstan, Brésil, Lettonie, Bulgarie, Aland, Lituanie...).
Pour rappel, Postcrossing est un projet créé en 2005 par le portugais Paulo Magalhães, consistant à envoyer et à recevoir des cartes postales (de façon aléatoire) en provenance du monde entier.
Le caractère aléatoire de chaque échange est ce qui rend le projet si intéressant - chaque échange est une surprise et une opportunité de poster une carte postale à quelqu'un que vous n'auriez jamais rencontré autrement.
A ce jour, ce site internet regroupe plus de 800000 membres provenant de 209 pays ou territoires différents (plus de 73 millions de cartes reçues), mais reste plutôt confidentiel en France avec seulement 18000 membres (317 au Luxembourg). 
Since 2011, around thirty postal administrations have dedicated stamps to Postcrossing (Belarus, Romania, Netherlands, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Austria, Germany, Guernsey, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Latvia, Bulgaria, Aland, Lithuania...).
As a reminder, Postcrossing is a project created in 2005 by the Portuguese Paulo Magalhães, consisting in sending and receiving postcards (randomly) from all over the world.
The randomness of each exchange is what makes the project so interesting - each exchange is a surprise and an opportunity to post a postcard to someone you otherwise would never have met.   
To date, this website brings together more than 800,000 members from 209 different countries or territories (more than 73 million cards received), but remains rather confidential in France with only 18,000 members (317 in Luxembourg).  

Le 13 septembre 2022, la poste luxembourgeoise a mis en circulation un timbre ("E50g" - 1,40€), imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, consacré à ce projet Postcrossing.
Conçu par Stina Fisch, ce timbre a été utilisé sur cette lettre envoyée le 15 septembre 2023 depuis l'agence postale située dans le centre commercial Belle Étoile à Bertrange, dans l'ouest de la ville de Luxembourg. Merci beaucoup Dimitri !
L'autre timbre (1€, conçu à partir d'une photographie de Sophie Margue - Maison du Grand-Duc), émis aussi le 13 septembre 2022, commémorait le 10ème anniversaire du mariage du couple héritier entre le prince Guillaume (né en 1981), fils du Grand-Duc Henri et de la grande-duchesse María Teresa, et la comtesse Stéphanie de Lannoy (née en 1984).
À la suite de l'accession au trône de son père, le prince Guillaume est investi officiellement grand-duc héritier de Luxembourg le 18 décembre 2000 lors d'une cérémonie au palais grand-ducal. Le couple a aujourd'hui 2 enfants, le prince Charles (né en 2020) et le prince François (né en 2023).
On September 13, 2022, the Luxembourg Post put into circulation a stamp ("E50g" - €1.40), printed in a sheetlet of 10 stamps, dedicated to this Postcrossing project.
Designed by Stina Fisch, this stamp was used on this cover sent on September 15, 2023 from the postal agency located in the Belle Étoile shopping center in Bertrange, in the west of Luxembourg City. Thank you very much Dimitri!
The other stamp (€1.00, designed from a photograph by Sophie Margue - Maison du Grand-Duc), also issued on September 13, 2022, commemorated the 10th anniversary of the marriage of the Hereditary couple between Prince Guillaume (born in 1981), son of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess María Teresa, and Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy (born in 1984).
Following his father's accession to the throne, Prince Guillaume was officially invested as heir Grand Duke of Luxembourg on December 18, 2000 during a ceremony at the grand ducal palace. The couple now have two children, Prince Charles (born in 2020) and Prince François (born in 2023).
