Le 25 février 2013, Park Geun-hye a officiellement débuté son mandat de 5 ans à la présidence de la république de Corée du sud.
Candidate du Grand Parti National, elle a en effet remporté l'élection présidentielle du 19 décembre 2012 avec 51,6% des voix face au candidat d'opposition Moon Jae-in.
Fille de l'ancien président Park Chung-hee (de 1962 à 1979), considéré comme un dictateur car arrivé au pouvoir suite à un coup d'état, Park Geun-hye est devenu le 11ème président de la république de Corée du sud (le 6ème président de la 6ème république) depuis l'indépendance en 1948 et surtout la 1ère femme à occuper ce poste.

La poste coréenne a émis le 25 février 2013, comme pour les présidents précédents, un timbre spécial consacré au début de mandat de Park Geun-hye.
Conçu par Jiwon Mo, ce timbre (270 won) a été émis en 2180000 exemplaires ainsi que dans un bloc-feuillet (tirage : 211000) composé de 2 timbres.
C'est ce bloc-feuillet qui figure sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessus avec un TAD de Busan (district de Sasang) en date du 4 mars 2013. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho :-)
Ce timbre représente un portrait de la présidente ainsi que le drapeau national (Taegeukgi) alors que les marges du bloc évoquent la Maison Bleue (Cheongwadae), la résidence officielle présidentielle à Séoul, en haut à gauche et Gwanghwamun, en haut à droite, la porte principale du palais royal de Gyeongbokgung (14ème siècle) à Séoul.
Ce timbre indique qu'il s'agit de l'entrée en fonction du 18ème président, ce qui est vrai en terme de mandats (certains des 10 présidents précédents en ayant exercé plusieurs).
A noter enfin sur cette lettre cet intéressant timbre de distributeur (70 won) incluant 3 des premiers timbres ("Moon-wi") de l'histoire postale coréenne, émis en 1884...
The Korean Post has issued on February 25th 2013, as for the previous presidents, a special stamp dedicated to the beginning of the mandate of Park Geun-hye.
Designed by Jiwon Mo, that stamp (270 won) was issued in 2,180,000 copies as well as in a souvenir sheet (print run : 211,000) composed of two stamps.
It is that souvenir sheet that appears on the First Day Cover above a postmark from Busan (Sasang District) dated March 4, 2013. Thank you very much Ji-Ho :-)
That stamp features a portrait of the president as well as the national flag (Taegeukgi) while the sheet's margins evoke the Blue House (Cheongwadae) at the top left, the presidential official residence in Seoul, and Gwanghwamun, at the top right, the main gate of Gyeongbokgung royal Palace (14th century) in Seoul.
This stamp indicates that it is the inauguration of the 18th President, which is true in term of mandates (some of the 10 previous presidents having held several).
Finally, to note on this letter that interesting ATM stamp (70 won) including the first three stamps ("Moon-wi") of the Korean postal history, issued in 1884...
