Merci beaucoup Terence pour cette très jolie lettre postée le 14 décembre 2012 de la ville indonésienne de Pontianak, capitale de la province de Kalimantan occidental (ouest de l'île de Bornéo) !
Terence a choisi spécialement ce bloc-feuillet car le drapeau français figure dans la marge supérieure :-)
Ce bloc, composé de 4 timbres rond autocollants (2500 Rp chacun), a en effet été émis le 6 mai 2006 à l'occasion de la coupe du monde de football organisée du 9 juin au 9 juillet 2006 en Allemagne.

Terence has specially chosen this souvenir sheet because the French flag appears in the top margin :-)
This sheet, consisting of four round-shaped self-adhesive stamps (Rp 2,500 each), was indeed issued on May 6, 2006 on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany.

4 versions de ce bloc ont été émis dans une même feuille incluant la composition des 8 groupes de la phase préliminaire de cette coupe du monde, dont les groupes H et G (avec la France, la Corée du sud, la Suisse et le Togo) ci-dessus.
Le logo de cette coupe du monde (appelé "Celebrating Faces of Football") figure sur les 2 timbres du haut alors que le trophée remis au vainqueur est inclus sur les 2 autres timbres.
Peu visible sur ce scan, chaque timbre inclus une pré-découpe montrant un joueur en pleine action avec un ballon.
Pour rappel, l'Italie a remporté cette compétition devant la France et l'Allemagne. L'Indonésie avait été la 1ère nation asiatique, sous le nom des Indes orientales néerlandaises, à participer à une coupe du monde de football en 1938...
Four versions of this souvenir sheet were issued in a single sheet including the composition of the eight groups of the preliminary phase of this FIFA World Cup, including groups H and G (with France, Republic of Korea, Switzerland and Togo) above.
The logo of this World Cup (called "Celebrating Faces of Football") appears on the top two stamps while the trophy awarded to the winner is included on the two other stamps.
It's not really apparent on this scan but each stamp also includes a pre-cut showing a player in action with a ball.
As a reminder, Italy won this competition ahead of France and Germany. Indonesia was the first Asian nation, under the name of Dutch East Indies, to compete in a Football World Cup in 1938...
