Comme cela est le cas depuis l'année du coq en 2005, la poste française a à nouveau émis, en vente générale le 7 janvier 2013, un bloc-feuillet de 5 timbres identiques consacré à la nouvelle année lunaire chinoise, l'Année du serpent (d'eau).
Je ne suis pas vraiment fan de cette thématique et j'espère que cette série s'achèvera avec l'année du singe en 2017 après un cycle complet de 12 ans...
As it is the case since the year of the Rooster in 2005, the French Post has once again issued, in general sale on January 7th 2013, a souvenir sheet of five identical stamps dedicated to the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of (water) Snake.
I'm not really a fan of this topic and I hope that this stamp series will end with the Year of the Monkey in 2017 after a complete cycle of 12 years...
C'est un des timbres de ce bloc-feuillet qui figure sur les 2 plis Premier Jour ci-dessus et ci-dessous, avec TAD du 4 janvier 2013 à Paris. Merci beaucoup Roland et Joël :-)
A noter que la prévente de ce timbre avait lieu cette année au Carré d'Encre mais aussi dans 2 autres lieux parisiens plus insolites : la Maison des Associations de Solidarité et le Musée des arts asiatiques Guimet.
Ce nouveau timbre a été conçu par Zhongyao Li (artiste chinois résidant en France) qui a également conçu le timbre à date Premier Jour, avec Aurélie Baras.
Zhongyao Li avait déjà créé le timbre du nouvel an chinois en 2006 (année du chien) ainsi que ceux émis entre 2009 et 2012.

To note that the preview sale of this stamp took place this year at the "Carré d'Encre" but also in two other rather unusual places in Paris : the "Maison des Associations de Solidarité" and the Museum of Asian Art Guimet.
This new stamp was designed by Zhongyao Li (a Chinese artist living in France) who has also designed the FDC cancellation, with Aurélie Baras.
Zhongyao Li had already created the Chinese New Year's stamp in 2006 (Year of the Dog) and those issued between 2009 and 2012.
Pour rappel, cette nouvelle année du serpent débutera le 10 février 2013 marquant alors, en Asie, une période de congés et le début de la fête du printemps.
Le serpent, 6ème animal du zodiaque chinois, est souvent un symbole de mystère et de secret. Les personnes nées sous ce signe sont à la fois discrètes, charmeuses, séductrices et introverties...
