A l'issue du 19ème concours international de conception de timbre organisé en 2013 par la poste coréenne, les deux meilleurs dessins (Grand Prix et Prix d'excellence) dans les catégorie "général" et "jeunesse" ont été reproduits sur des timbres émis le 8 août 2014.
Ces 4 timbres (tirage : 275000 chacun) ont été émis dans une même feuille de 16 timbres (4 de chaque) + 3 vignettes centrales, dans le cadre de la semaine de la philatélie organisée chaque année en Corée du Sud afin de promouvoir la collection de timbres, en particulier chez les plus jeunes.
Cette année, cette semaine de la philatélie coïncidait avec l'exposition internationale PhilaKorea organisée à Séoul du 7 au 12 août 2014.
After the 19th international stamp design contest organized in 2013 by the Korea Post, the two best designs (Grand Prix and Gold Prize) in the "general" and "youth" categories have been reproduced on stamps issued on August 8, 2014.
These four stamps (print run : 275.000 each) were issued in a single sheet of 16 stamps (4 of each) + 3 central labels, as part of the Philately Week held annually in Korea to promote the collection of stamps, in particular among the younger.
This year, this Philately Week coincided with the International Stamp Exhibition "PhilaKorea" held in Seoul from August 7 to 12, 2014.

Les 4 lauréats de ce 19ème concours international sont tous coréens cette année avec en particulier CHO Hyeon-ji qui a conçu le dessin (540 won) intitulé "Création d'une nouvelle histoire" avec ces enfants du monde entier créant un personnage, symbolisant cette humanité nouvelle, à partir de timbres.
Le timbre "Voyage en train" (540 won), conçu par Park Eun-young, symbolise l'apprentissage de l'histoire à travers les timbres.
CHOI Min-seo a dessiné le timbre (300 won) intitulé "Une lettre contenant les pensées d'un oiseau" alors que KIM Tae-yeol a conçu le dernier timbre (300 won) intitulé "Grandir avec les timbres" montrant une famille de moutons s'épanouissant à travers la philatélie.

The four winners of this 19th international competition are all Korean this year with in particular CHO Hyeon-ji who designed the drawing (540 won) entitled "Creation of new history" with these children around the world creating a character, symbolizing the new humankind, from stamps.
The "Train Travel" stamp (540 won), designed by Park Eun-young, symbolizes the learning of history through stamps.
CHOI Min-seo designed the stamp (300 won) entitled "A letter containing the thoughts of a bird" while Kim Tae-yeol designed the last stamp (300 won) entitled "Growing up with stamps" showing a sheep family flourishing through philately.
