Sepac 2021 (historical maps) stamp on cover from Åland

Timbre Sepac 2021 (cartes historiques) sur lettre d'Åland 

Après "Art de la collection nationale" en 2020, le thème choisi pour les émissions Sepac en 2021 est intitulé "Cartes historiques" et, sauf erreur, 10 des 13 administrations postales européennes membres de l'association Sepac (Small European Postal Administration Cooperation) ont déjà émis ce timbre Sepac cette année.
C'est le cas d'Åland, un territoire autonome rattaché à la Finlande, situé dans le golfe de Botnie (entre la Suède et la Finlande, avec un timbre (4€, tirage : 90000) émis le 25 mars 2021, reproduisant une partie d'une carte nautique établie en 1747 par Jonas Hahn (1703-1759), un pilote officier basé à Stockholm qui a effectué des mesures maritimes autour d'Åland et du sud de la Finlande (cartographie et profondeur des eaux). 
After "Art from the state collection" in 2020, the theme chosen for the Sepac stamps in 2021 is entitled "Historical maps" and, if I am not mistaken, 10 of the 13 European postal administrations who are members of the Sepac association (Small European Postal Administration Cooperation) have already issued this Sepac stamp this year.
This is the case of Åland, an autonomous Finnish territory, located in the Gulf of Bothnia, between Sweden and Finland, with a stamp (€ 4.00, print run: 90,000) issued on March 25, 2021, reproducing a part of a nautical chart drawn up in 1747 by Jonas Hahn (1703-1759), a Stockholm-based pilot officer who carried out maritime measurements around Åland and southern Finland (cartography and water depth).

 

Ce timbre (conception : Julia Perander / Strax) a été utilisé sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 6 août 2021 depuis Ödkarby, petite localité située sur Fasta Åland, l'île principale de l'archipel. Merci beaucoup Liisa !
La carte nautique sur ce timbre montre en particulier l'île de Rödhamn, située dans le sud de l'archipel, ainsi que les îles Gloskär, Rödö et Ljungskär.
Rödhamn a longtemps été un port important et stratégique grâce à sa situation en tant que dernier port protégé avant de s'aventurer en pleine mer d'Åland.
L'importance de Rödhamn a diminué à mesure que le nombre de navires à vapeur augmentait et que le chenal entre la Finlande et la Suède recevait une nouvelle route. Ces navires sont aujourd'hui remplacés par des bateaux de plaisance.

The nautical chart on this stamp shows in particular the island of Rödhamn, located in the south of the archipelago, as well as the islands of Gloskär, Rödö and Ljungskär.
Rödhamn has long been an important and strategic harbour thanks to its location as the last protected port before venturing into the Åland Sea.
Rödhamn's importance declined as the number of steamships increased and the channel between Finland and Sweden was given a new route. These ships are now replaced by pleasure boats.
