"245 years of Saints Constantine and Helen Church" postmark on prepaid card from Moldova

TAD "245 ans de l'église Saints-Constantin-et-Hélène" sur carte pré-timbrée de Moldavie

Le 3 juin 2022, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un TAD consacré au 245ème anniversaire de l'église Saints-Constantin-et-Hélène ("Biserica Sf. Împăraţi Constantin şi Elena") à Chișinău.
Merci beaucoup Nicolae pour l'envoi de cette carte pré-timbrée (1,30 L, tirage : 1000, conception : Lilian Iațco) émise le 3 juin 2017 à l'occasion du 240ème anniversaire de cette même église, sur laquelle ce nouveau TAD a été appliqué par le le bureau principal de Chișinău (MD-2012) !
Ce TAD, conçu par Eugeniu Verebceanu, montre une vue de côté de cette petite église (même vue sur le timbre pré-imprimé) située sur une colline dans la partie nord de la capitale moldave (secteur de Râșcani). 
On June 3, 2022, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a postmark dedicated to the 245th anniversary of Saints Constantine and Helena Church ("Biserica Sf. Împăraţi Constantin şi Elena") in Chișinău.
Thank you very much Nicolae for sending this prepaid card (1.30 L, print run: 1,000, design: Lilian Iațco) issued on June 3, 2017 on the occasion of the 240th anniversary of this same church, on which this new postmark has been applied by the main post office in Chișinău (MD-2012)!
This postmark, designed by Eugeniu Verebceanu, shows a side view of this small church (same view on the pre-printed stamp) located on a hill in the northern part of the Moldovan capital (Râşcani sector).

Connue à l'origine sous le nom d'église Rascanu, ce temple orthodoxe a été construit en 1777 dans un ancien style typique d'église moldave (avec une nef de forme circulaire), grâce au financement du riche propriétaire Constantin Râșcanu, originaire de Iasi.
En 1834, à la demande du fils de Constantine Râșcanu afin de perpétuer sa mémoire, cette église a été rebaptisée du nom de l'empereur romain Constantin Ier et de sa mère Hélène, des saints fêtés chaque année le même jour (le 21 mai) par les orthodoxes.
Au 19ème siècle, le cimetière de cette église fut le lieu de sépulture de nombreuses personnalités célèbres de Bessarabie.
Originally known as Rascanu Church, this Orthodox temple was built in 1777 in an ancient Moldovan church style (with a circular nave), thanks to the funding of the rich Iasi-born landowner Constantin Râșcanu.
In 1834, at the request of Constantine Râșcanu's son in order to perpetuate his memory, this church was renamed after the Roman emperor Constantine I and his mother Helen, two saints celebrated each year on the same day (May 21) by the Orthodox.
In the 19th century, the cemetery of this church was the burial place of many famous personalities of Bessarabia.

 

Après la proclamation de l'indépendance de la Moldavie en 1992, l'église a été dotée d'une nouvelle iconostase en bois, d'un nouveau porche et le toit a été légèrement remodelé.
Cette église reste aujourd'hui un lieu de culte actif et une attraction touristique majeure à Chișinău.
L'autre côté de cette carte ci-dessus montre cette église ainsi qu'une icône représentant les saints Constantin et Hélène et une vue de l'iconostase.
Nicolae a utilisé également un timbre (9,50 L), émis le 26 décembre 2018, faisant partie d'une émission commune (2 timbres) avec l'Ukraine, consacrée à des cloches d'églises, la cloche (fondue en 1838) située au sommet du clocher de la cathédrale de la Nativité à Chișinău, consacrée en 1836, ici.
After the proclamation of the independence of Moldova in 1992, the church obtained a new wooden iconostasis, a new porch and the roof was slightly remodeled.
This church remains today an active place of worship and a major tourist attraction in Chişinău.
The other side of this card above shows this church as well as an icon representing the saints Constantine and Helen and a view of the iconostasis.
Nicolae also used a stamp (9.50 L), issued on December 26, 2018, part of a joint issue (2 stamps) with Ukraine, devoted to church bells, the bell (melted in 1838) located at the top of the bell tower of the Cathedral of the Nativity in Chişinău, consecrated in 1836, here.
