"Italian Red Cross 160th anniversary" joint stamp with Italy, Vatican and SMOM, on cover from San Marino

Timbre "160 ans de la Croix-Rouge italienne", commun avec l'Italie, le Vatican et l'OSMM, sur lettre de Saint-Marin

Le 15 juin 2024, les administrations postales d'Italie, Saint-Marin, Cité du Vatican et Ordre Souverain Militaire de Malte (OSMM) ont mis en circulation un timbre commun consacré au 160ème anniversaire de la fondation de la Croix-Rouge italienne, qui eu lieu à Milan le 15 juin 1864.
Ce timbre a été imprimé dans un feuillet composé de 4 timbres, avec marge illustrant les torches allumées lors de la procession annuelle aux flambeaux entre Solferino et Castiglione delle Stiviere, les lieux de la bataille du même nom en 1859 et du sauvetage improvisé ultérieur par la population au cours duquel Henri Dunant a été inspiré pour créer un mouvement humanitaire qui prendra le nom de "Croix-Rouge".
Le timbre a été conçu à partir d'une photographie de Danilo Traverso montrant les volontaires de la Croix-Rouge italienne engagés dans le sauvetage des victimes lors de l'effondrement dramatique du Ponte Morandi survenu à Gênes le 14 août 2018.
On June 15, 2024, the postal administrations of Italy, San Marino, Vatican City and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) put into circulation a joint stamp dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Red Cross, which took place in Milan on June 15, 1864.
This stamp was printed in a sheetlet composed of 4 stamps, with a margin illustrating the torches lit during the annual torchlight procession between Solferino and Castiglione delle Stiviere, the sites of the battle of the same name in 1859 and the subsequent improvised rescue by the population during which Henri Dunant was inspired to create a humanitarian movement that would take the name of "Red Cross".
The stamp was designed from a photograph by Danilo Traverso showing the volunteers of the Italian Red Cross engaged in the rescue of victims during the dramatic collapse of the Ponte Morandi in Genoa on August 14, 2018.

Suite à cet événement tragique, le Président de la République italienne a décerné en 2024 la Médaille d'Or du Mérite Civil au drapeau de la Croix-Rouge italienne en Ligurie.
La version de Saint-Marin de ce timbre (1,25€, tirage : 160000), imprimé en France par Cartor, a été utilisée sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 27 mars 2025 depuis la capitale, Saint-Marin. Merci beaucoup Salvatore !
A noter la présence du logo officiel de ce 160ème anniversaire de la Croix-Rouge italienne sur le timbre ainsi que la mention "Ovunque per chiunque" ("N'importe où et pour n'importe qui").
Une mention dans la marge du feuillet rappelle qu'aujourd'hui, plus de 150000 volontaires font partie de cette organisation humanitaire, constamment aux côtés de la population et des institutions italiennes depuis 160 ans. 
Le 2ème timbre (0,05€) fait partie d'une série (3 timbres, conception : Francesco Bongiorni) émise le 26 février 2019, consacré au 100ème anniversaire de l'association nationales des Alpini (ANA).
Fondée en 1919 à Milan, cette association est composée de membres de l'armée italienne spécialisés dans le combat en zone montagneuse. Ces soldats se sont illustrés en particulier pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, lors de la bataille du Mont Ortigara en 1917, contre les troupes austro-hongroises.
Following this tragic event, the President of the Italian Republic awarded in 2024 the Gold Medal of Civil Merit to the flag of the Italian Red Cross in Liguria.
The San Marino version of this stamp (€1.25, print run: 160,000), printed in France by Cartor, was used on the above cover sent on March 27, 2025, from the capital, San Marino. Thank you very much, Salvatore!
To note the presence of the official logo of this 160th anniversary of the Italian Red Cross on the stamp as well as the words "Ovunque per chiunque" ("Anywhere and for anyone").
A note in the margin of the sheetlet recalls that today, more than 150,000 volunteers are part of this humanitarian organization, constantly alongside the Italian population and institutions for 160 years. 
The second stamp (€0.05) is part of a series (3 stamps, design: Francesco Bongiorni) issued on February 26, 2019, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Alpini National Association (ANA).
Founded in 1919 in Milan, this association is composed of members of the Italian army specialized in combat in mountainous areas. These soldiers distinguished themselves particularly during the First World War, at the Battle of Mount Ortigara in 1917, against the Austro-Hungarian troops.
