Le 1er timbre ci-dessous (30 CZK) reproduit un tableau de Petr Brandl (1668-1735) faisant partie des collections de l'archevêché de Prague, montrant un portrait de l'archevêque de Prague Franz Ferdinand comte de Khünburg (1651-1731), vers 1715.
Il fut nommé par l'empereur le 14 avril 1710 et a fondé l'Ordre des Célestins, l'Ordre des Sœurs de Sainte-Élisabeth, et a préparé et achevé le processus de béatification et de canonisation de Jean de Népomucène.
Par une bulle papale du 30 avril 1344, le pape Clément VI a élevé l'évêché de Prague, fondé en 973, en archevêché.
On May 13, 2020, the Czech Post issued several stamps, including the two present on these two official FDCs below, relating respectively to the Prague Archbishopric and the artist Jiří Kolář (1914-2002).

The first stamp below (30 CZK) reproduces a painting by Petr Brandl (1668-1735) from the collections of the Prague Archbishopric, showing a portrait of the Archbishop of Prague Franz Ferdinand Count of Khünburg (1651-1731), around 1715.
He was officially appointed by the Emperor on April 14, 1710. He founded the Order of Celestines, the Order of the Sisters of St Elizabeth, and prepared and completed the beatification and canonisation process of John of Nepomuk.
By a papal bull of April 30, 1344, Pope Clement VI elevated the Prague bishopric, founded in 973, to archbishopric.
L'archidiocèse de Prague est le plus ancien diocèse existant en République tchèque et l'archevêque de Prague est également le primat, ou le chef officiel de l'Église catholique tchèque.
J'aime beaucoup le FDC ci-dessus (tirage : 2900) avec TAD de Prague avec cette gravure (par Václav Fajt) représentant le palais archiépiscopal situé près du château de Prague, le siège des archevêques et évêques de Prague depuis les années 1660. Cet édifice a acquis son aspect baroque actuel dans la seconde moitié du 18ème siècle.
Le peintre Petr Brandl a magistralement réussi à travailler avec la lumière et a également utilisé la méthode du clair-obscur. Il s'est consacré principalement à la peinture de thèmes religieux bien que les portraits soient également représentés de manière significative. Il a peint principalement pour de grands ordres religieux tels que les bénédictins, les cisterciens ou les carmélites et d'importantes familles nobles.

I really love the FDC above (print run: 2,900) with postmark from Prague with this engraving (by Václav Fajt) representing the Archbishop's Palace located near Prague Castle, the seat of Prague archbishops and bishops since the 1660s. This building acquired its current Baroque appearance in the second half of the 18th century.
Painter Petr Brandl masterfully succeeded in working with light and also used the chiaroscuro method. He devoted himself mainly to the painting of religious themes although the portraits are also represented in a significant way. He painted mainly for large religious orders such as the Benedictines, the Cistercians or the Carmelites and important noble families.
2ème FDC ci-dessus (tirage : 3000) avec TAD de Protivín, ville de naissance de Jiří Kolář (1914-2002) qui fut un poète expérimental et visuel, peintre, écrivain, dramaturge, traducteur et collectionneur d'art.
Le timbre (47 CZK), conçu par Milan Jaroš et gravé par Martin Srb, est consacré à une œuvre de Jiří Kolář, intitulée "Objet / Chiasmage" (1980, collection privée).
Jiři Kolář a en effet appliqué aux objets de la vie quotidienne les méthodes de ses collages bidimensionnels, et en particulier le chiasmage qui vide en quelque sorte les objets de leur matérialité existentielle...
A la fin des années 1950, il expérimente la soi-disant poésie concrète, remplace les mots par des objets ou des images, puis passe progressivement aux collages, comme celui reproduit sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus faisant partie d'une série "Hommage à Baudelaire" (1972).
