"Stained-glass windows of Old Lviv" minisheet (with holographic film) on FDC from Ukraine

Le 30 décembre 2020, la poste ukrainienne a mis en circulation un splendide bloc-feuillet (7 timbres), consacrés à des détails de certains vitraux situés dans des édifices de la partie ancienne de Lviv, la plus grande ville de la partie occidentale de l'Ukraine.
Conçu par Serhiy et Oleksandr Kharuk à partir de photographies de Andriy Kyrchiv, ce bloc-feuillet (tirage : 25000) est spectaculaire car imprimé avec un vernis spécial avec effet holographique.

L'ensemble du centre historique de la ville de Lviv, fondée à la fin du Moyen Âge et ayant conservé intacte sa topographie urbaine médiévale et de magnifiques bâtiments baroques et plus tardifs, fait partie du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 1998.
Le timbre central (tarif "F" pour un envoi domestique recommandé jusqu'à 50g, 17 UAH) est consacré à l'un des plus beaux vitraux néo-gothiques de Lviv (créés par six artistes dans la dernière décennie du 19ème siècle), ornant la cathédrale latine de l'Assomption de la Sainte Vierge. Il représente la Mère de Dieu, la sainte patronne de Lviv. 
On December 30, 2020, the Ukrainian Post issued a splendid minisheet (7 stamps), devoted to details of some stained glass windows located in buildings in the old part of Lviv, the largest city in the western part of Ukraine.
Designed by Serhiy and Oleksandr Kharuk from photographs by Andriy Kyrchiv, this minisheet (print run: 25,000) is spectacular as it is printed with a special holographic film.

The entire historic center of the city of Lviv, founded at the end of the Middle Ages and having preserved intact its medieval urban topography and magnificent Baroque and later buildings, has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1998.
The central stamp ("F" rate for registered domestic mail up to 50g, 17 UAH) is dedicated to one of the most beautiful neo-Gothic stained glass windows in Lviv (created by six artists in the last decade of the 19th century), adorning the Latin Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It represents the Mother of God, the patron saint of Lviv.

 

Les 2 timbres en haut à gauche et en en haut à droite (tarif "M" pour un envoi domestique jusqu'à 250g, 13,50 UAH) représentent des vitraux situés dans l'église Saint-Antoine (l'église possédant le plus grand nombre de vitraux à Lviv) et dans l'église de l'Assomption, possédant un exceptionnel ensemble de vitraux de style Art Nouveau, conçus par l'artiste ukrainien Petro Kholodny. 
Parmi les 4 derniers timbres (tarif "V" pour un envoi domestique jusqu'à 50g, 9 UAH), de forme carrée, les 2 timbres à gauche sont consacrés respectivement à un vitrail (réalisé dans l'atelier de Stanislaw-Gabriel Zhelensky en 1914) situé dans le bâtiment de l'ancien hôtel de Cracovie, abritant aujourd'hui la cour d'appel, et à l'un des vitraux (ange) de l'église du Cœur de Jésus, créés en 1887-1889 par la firme munichoise Mayer.
Les 2 derniers timbres à droite représentent un vitrail (datant de 1844) de l'église dominicaine (consacrée en 1764) et un vitrail de la cathédrale arménienne de la Dormition de la Bienheureuse Mère de Dieu (14ème siècle), créé au début du 20ème siècle. Cette église est connue pour ses fresques créées par l'artiste polonais Jan Henryk de Rosen (1891-1982).
The 2 stamps at the top left and at the top right (rate "M" for a domestic mail up to 250g, 13.50 UAH) represent stained glass windows located in the Saint Anthony's church (the church with the most large number of stained glass windows in Lviv) and in the Church of the Assumption, having an exceptional set of Art Nouveau stained glass windows, designed by the Ukrainian artist Petro Kholodny.
Among the last 4 (square) stamps (rate "V" for a domestic mail up to 50g, 9 UAH), the 2 stamps on the left are respectively dedicated to a stained glass window (made in the workshop of Stanislaw-Gabriel Zhelensky in 1914) located in the building of the old Krakow hotel, now housing the Court of Appeal, and to one of the stained glass windows (angel) of the Church of the Heart of Jesus, created in 1887-1889 by the Munich-based firm Mayer.
The last 2 stamps on the right show a stained glass window (dating from 1844) of the Dominican Church (consecrated in 1764) and a stained glass window of the Armenian Cathedral of the Dormition of the Blessed Mother of God (14th century), created at the beginning of the 20th century. This church is well-known for its frescoes created by Polish artist Jan Henryk de Rosen (1891-1982).
