TAD "Préhistoire - Espèces éteintes du genre Homo" sur lettre de République tchèque
A l'occasion de l'émission le 8 septembre 2023 d'un carnet (tirage : 1270 carnets) de 8 timbres autocollants
personnalisés ("Vlastní známka") consacré à la préhistoire et en particulier à différentes espèces éteintes du genre Homo ("Prehistorie rodu Homo" en tchèque), la poste tchèque a mis en circulation le même jour un TAD
spécial sur le même thème.
Ce
TAD, conçu par Petr Modlitba (l'artiste qui a conçu également les 8
timbres du carnet), a été appliqué par le bureau postal de
Prague 8 sur cette jolie enveloppe. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
Ce TAD représente une tête reconstituée d'Homme de Néandertal (Homo neanderthalensis), une espèce éteinte du genre Homo, qui a vécu en Europe, au Moyen-Orient et en Asie centrale, jusqu'à environ 30000 ans.
On the occasion of the issue on September 8, 2023 of a booklet (run: 1270 books) of 8 personalized self-adhesive stamps ("Vlastní známka") dedicated to prehistory and in particular to different extinct species of the genus Homo ("Prehistorie rodu Homo" in Czech), the Czech Post put into circulation a special postmark on the same theme on the same day.
This cancellation, designed by Petr Modlitba (the artist who also designed the 8 stamps of this booklet), was applied by the Prague 8 post office to this pretty envelope. Thank you very much Slavek!
This postmark represents a reconstructed head of Neanderthal (Homo neanderthalensis), an extinct species of the genus Homo, which lived in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, until around 30,000 years ago.
Les 8 timbres de ce carnet ont été conçus sur le même principe avec des têtes reconstituées à partir de cranes retrouvés des 8 espèces suivantes, toute originaires du continent africain : Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Australopithecus afarensis (dont fait partie Lucy), Ardipithecus ramidus, Kenyanthropus platyops, Australopithecus boisei, Australopithecus sediba, Homo rudolfensis et Paranthropus robustus.
Homo est le genre qui réunit Homo sapiens et les espèces apparentées. Il apparait à la fin du Pliocène ou au début du Pléistocène, selon l'attribution des plus anciens fossiles faite par les paléoanthropologues. Toutes les espèces du genre Homo sont aujourd'hui éteintes, sauf Homo sapiens.
Slavek a utilisé 4 timbres identiques (12 CZK), conçus par Pavel Dvorský et gravés par Jaroslav Tvrdoň, émis le 2 janvier 2009 pour commémorer le 200ème anniversaire de la naissance du naturaliste et paléontologue britannique Charles Darwin (1809-1882), dont les travaux sur l'évolution des espèces vivantes ont révolutionné la biologie avec son ouvrage "L'Origine des espèces" paru en 1859.
The 8 stamps in this booklet were designed on the same principle with heads reconstructed from found skulls of the following 8 species, all native to the African continent: Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Australopithecus afarensis (which includes Lucy), Ardipithecus ramidus, Kenyanthropus platyops, Australopithecus boisei, Australopithecus sediba, Homo rudolfensis and Paranthropus robustus.
Homo is the genus that brings together Homo sapiens and related species. It appears at the end of the Pliocene or the beginning of the Pleistocene, depending on the attribution of the oldest fossils made by paleoanthropologists. All species of the genus Homo are now extinct, except Homo sapiens.
Slavek used 4 identical stamps (12 CZK), designed by Pavel Dvorský and engraved by Jaroslav Tvrdoň, issued on January 2, 2009 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the British naturalist and paleontologist Charles Darwin (1809-1882), whose work on the evolution of living species revolutionized biology with his work "On the Origin of Species" published in 1859.
