Après Chamalières en 2018, le 69ème congrès du Groupement Philatélique du Massif Central (GPMC) a eu lieu cette année les 5 et 6 octobre 2019 dans la ville de Montluçon (Allier).
Pour rappel, ce groupement affilié à la FFAP (XX) fédère 22 associations philatéliques des 3 départements de l'ancienne région Limousin et des 4 départements de l'ancienne région Auvergne.
Ce congrès avait lieu dans le cadre du 80ème anniversaire de la fondation du Groupement Philatélique Montluçonnais (GPM) qui organisait cette manifestation.
Une exposition philatélique de niveau régional était organisé pendant les 2 jours de ce congrès.
After Chamalières in 2018, the 69th Congress of the Massif Central Philatelic Group (GPMC) took place this year on October 5 and 6, 2019 in the city of Montluçon (Allier).
As a reminder, this Group affilated to the FFAP (French Federation of Philatelic Associations) federates 22 philatelic associations of the three departments of the former Limousin region and the four departments of the former Auvergne region.
This Congress was held as part of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Groupement Philatélique Montluçonnais (GPM) which organized this event.
A regional philatelic exhibition was organized during the two days of this Congress.

Ce TAD représente une vielle à roue, un instrument de musique complexe et traditionnel dans cette région historique du Bourbonnais.
La vielle à roue est un instrument à cordes, frottées par une roue en bois au lieu d'un archet. La roue est tournée avec une manivelle de la main droite, pendant que la main gauche du musicien joue la mélodie sur un clavier.
Jean-Claude a utilisé ici le timbre, mis en vente générale le 7 octobre 2019 (après ce congrès !), consacré à Alexandre Varenne et au 100ème anniversaire du journal "La Montagne".
A temporary postal office offered a special postmark on the occasion of this 69th Congress, applied on the nice letter above. Thank you very much Jean-Claude!
This postmark features a hurdy-gurdy ("vielle à roue" in French), a complex and traditional musical instrument in this historic region of Bourbonnais.
The hurdy-gurdy is a stringed instrument, rubbed by a wooden wheel instead of a bow. The wheel is turned with a crank by the right hand, while the left hand of the musician plays the melody on a keyboard.
Jean-Claude used here the stamp, put on general sale on October 7, 2019 (after this Congress!), dedicated to Alexandre Varenne and the 100th anniversary of the newspaper "La Montagne".
