Bloc-feuillet "80 ans de la Victoire dans la Grande Guerre patriotique", commun avec le Bélarus, sur lettre de Russie
La Grande Guerre Patriotique est l'expression par laquelle l'Union soviétique, puis la Russie post-soviétique et certains de ses alliés désignent le conflit qui opposa la première à l'Allemagne nazie de juin 1941 à mai 1945. Elle correspond, dans le contexte d'une approche de la Seconde Guerre mondiale limitée à sa dimension européenne, au théâtre d'opération est-européen à partir de l'attaque allemande contre l'URSS.
Le 25 avril 2025, les administrations postales de la Fédération de Russie et du Bélarus ont mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet commun (avec toutefois un graphisme différent) commémorant le 80ème anniversaire de la Victoire du peuple soviétique dans la Grande Guerre Patriotique.
La version russe de ce bloc-feuillet (80 RUB, tirage : 58000, conception : S. Kapranov) a été utilisée sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 15 mai 2025 depuis Saint-Pétersbourg. Merci beaucoup Youri !
A noter qu'une version numérotée de ce bloc-feuillet (avec vernis et gaufrage) a été émise en tirage limité (3800).
Cette victoire dans la Grande Guerre Patriotique est célébrée chaque année sur la Place Rouge en particulier, rappelant qu'entre 27 et 30 millions de citoyens de l'URSS, militaires et civils, ont été tués.
The Great Patriotic War is the term used by the Soviet Union, and later post-Soviet Russia and some of its allies, to refer to the conflict that pitted the former against Nazi Germany from June 1941 to May 1945. In the context of a European-limited approach to World War II, it corresponds to the Eastern European theater of operations beginning with the German attack on the USSR.
On April 25, 2025, the postal administrations of the Russian Federation and Belarus issued a joint souvenir sheet (with however a different design) commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
The Russian version of this souvenir sheet (80 RUB, print run: 58,000, design: S. Kapranov) was used on the cover below, sent on May 15, 2025, from Saint Petersburg. Thank you very much, Yuri!
To note that a numbered version of this souvenir sheet (with varnish and embossing) was issued in a limited edition (3,800).
This victory in the Great Patriotic War is celebrated annually, particularly in Red Square, as a reminder that between 27 and 30 million citizens of the USSR, both military and civilian, were killed.
L'année 2025 a été déclarée dans les pays de la CEI Année du 80ème anniversaire de la Victoire dans la Grande Guerre Patriotique, ainsi qu'Année de la paix et de l'unité dans la lutte contre le nazisme.
Le timbre central de ce bloc-feuillet représente l'Ordre de la Guerre Patriotique de 1ère classe. Durant le conflit environ 1275000 Ordres de la Guerre Patriotique furent décernés. En mai 1985, pour le 40ème anniversaire de la victoire sur l'Allemagne nazie, celui-ci fut décerné à tous les vétérans survivants de la Seconde Guerre mondiale : 7462000 anciens combattants la reçurent.
À titre individuel, l'Ordre de la Guerre Patriotique fut attribué à 67 pilotes français du Régiment de chasse Normandie-Niémen.
Des photos iconiques de cette victoire soviétique en 1945 , prises par E. Khaldei et V. Grebnev, sont reproduites dans la marge de ce bloc-feuillet, en particulier Le Drapeau rouge sur le Reichstag, une photographie (retouchée) prise le 2 mai 1945 sur le toit du palais du Reichstag, à Berlin.

Les 2 photographies dans la partie inférieure ont été prises lors du défilé du jour de la Victoire de Moscou le 24 juin 1945, avec les drapeaux et symboles capturés à l'armée allemande à gauche et le maréchal de l'Union soviétique Gueorgui Joukov, ouvrant ce défilé (le plus long et le plus important jamais organisé sur la Place Rouge) sur son cheval gris clair, Koumir.
The year of 2025 has been declared in the CIS countries the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the Year of Peace and Unity in the fight against Nazism.
The central stamp of this souvenir sheet depicts the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st Class. During the conflict, approximately 1,275,000 Orders of the Patriotic War were awarded. In May 1985, on the 40th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany, it was awarded to all surviving veterans of World War II: 7,462,000 veterans received it.
Individually, the Order of the Patriotic War was awarded to 67 French pilots of the Normandy-Niemen Fighter Regiment.

A photograph of the same destroyed Reichstag, flown over by Soviet aircraft, appears in the upper left corner.
The two photographs in the lower section were taken during the Moscow Victory Day parade on June 24, 1945, with captured German flags and symbols on the left and Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov leading this parade (the longest and largest ever held in Red Square) on his gray horse, Idol.
