"Expo 2025 Osaka - Monaco Pavilion" stamp on FDC from Monaco

Timbre "Expo 2025 Osaka - Pavillon Monaco" sur FDC de Monaco 

Après Dubaï en 2021-2022, la ville japonaise d'Osaka organise cette année, du 13 avril au 13 octobre 2025, l'exposition universelle, sur l'île artificielle de Yumeshima (environ 155 hectares).
Cette expo rassemble 160 pays autour du thème "Concevoir la société du futur, imaginer notre vie de demain".
Ce thème se décline sous trois axes : sauver des vies, inspirer des vies et connecter des vies. C'est sous ce dernier angle que la Principauté de Monaco présente son pavillon dont le thème est "Take Care of Wonder" ("Prendre soin de la merveille"). 
À travers la rencontre entre un jardin japonais et un jardin méditerranéen, Pavillon Monaco a voulu refléter l'attention que la Principauté porte à la protection de l'environnement, tant sur son territoire qu’à l'international.
Le 19 février 2025, l'Office des timbres de Monaco a mis en circulation un timbre (1,39€, tirage : 40000) consacré à cette Expo 2025 et en particulier au pavillon de Monaco à travers son logo rouge en forme de losange. 
Following Dubai in 2021-2022, the Japanese city of Osaka is hosting the World Expo 2025 this year, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima (approximately 155 hectares). 
This expo brings together 160 countries around the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". 
This theme is divided into three aeras: saving lives, empowering lives and connecting lives. It is from this last angle that the Principality of Monaco presents its pavilion whose theme is "Take Care of Wonder".
Through the meeting between a Japanese garden and a Mediterranean garden, Pavillon Monaco wants to reflect the attention that the Principality pays to environmental protection, both on its territory and internationally.
On February 19, 2025, the Monaco Stamp Office put into circulation a stamp (€1.39, print run: 40,000) dedicated to this Expo 2025 and in particular to the Monaco pavilion through its red diamond-shaped logo.  

Ce timbre, imprimé (avec un vernis sérigraphique sur le logo) en feuillet de 10 timbres, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus.
Ce pavillon a été conçu par un duo d'architectes: Jérôme Hein (The A Group) et Nicolas Fedoroff (Atelier Pierre). La scénographie a été confiée à l'agence Simmetrico, qui avait déjà collaboré avec Monaco à l'occasion de l'Exposition universelle d'Astana en 2017. 
Le parcours du pavillon de la Principauté de Monaco rappelle aux visiteurs que prendre soin de la nature revient à prendre soin de soi-même, et qu'en prenant soin des merveilles fragiles de notre planète, nous contribuons à la survie de l'espèce humaine. De plus, le pavillon de Monaco propose un bar à vins proposant une expérience unique avec des grands crus et des cognacs issus de la célèbre cave de l'Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, offrant ainsi une immersion dans le monde de l'œnologie. 
A noter que d'autres administrations postales ont aussi émis des timbres consacrés à cette Expo 2025 Osaka et/ou à leur pavillon national : Japon, Luxembourg, France, République tchèque, Paraguay, Pologne, Saint-Marin, Tunisie, Nations Unies...

This pavilion was designed by an architectural duo: Jérôme Hein (The A Group) and Nicolas Fedoroff (Atelier Pierre). The scenography was entrusted to the Simmetrico agency, which had already collaborated with Monaco on the occasion of the Astana World Expo in 2017.
The Principality of Monaco pavilion journey emphasize to visitors that caring for the nature equates to caring for ourselves, and that by taking care of the fragile wonder of this planet, we are contributing to the survival of the human species. Furthermore, Monaco pavilion has a wine bar that offers a unique experience featuring grands crus wines and cognacs from the renowned wine cellar of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, providing an immersive journey into the world of oenology.
