Timbre "Expo 2025 Osaka - Pavillon tchèque" sur FDC de République tchèque
Après Dubaï en 2021-2022, la ville japonaise d'Osaka organise cette année, du 13 avril au 13 octobre 2025, l'exposition universelle, sur l'île artificielle de Yumeshima (environ 155 hectares).
Cette expo rassemble 160 pays autour du thème "Concevoir la société du futur, imaginer notre vie de demain".
Ce
thème se décline sous trois axes : sauver des vies, inspirer des vies
et connecter des vies.
Le thème du pavillon tchèque est "Talent et créativité pour la vie", fusionnant technologies modernes et traditionnelles. La structure est constituée de panneaux en bois lamellé croisé modernes, tandis que la façade est recouverte de cristal de Bohême artistique.
Le parcours circulaire des visiteurs les mène du sol au toit à travers une exposition interactive présentant la République tchèque comme une nation créative à l'influence mondiale.
Ce pavillon permet de présenter au monde non seulement le verre, la musique et l'art tchèques, admirés par les japonais depuis des générations, mais aussi les technologies tchèques innovantes et les talents régionaux.
Following Dubai in 2021-2022, the Japanese city of Osaka is hosting the World Expo 2025 this year, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima (approximately 155 hectares).
This expo brings together 160 countries around the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives".
This theme is divided into three aeras: saving lives, empowering lives and connecting lives.
The theme of the Czech Pavilion is "Talent and Creativity for Life", merging modern and traditional technologies. The structure is made of modern cross-laminated timber panels, while the façade is clad in artistic Bohemian crystal.
The circular visitor path leads from ground to roof through an interactive exhibition showcasing the Czech Republic as a creative nation with global influence.
This pavilion showcases to the world not only Czech glass, music, and art, admired by the Japanese for generations, but also innovative Czech technologies and regional talent.
Le 16 avril 2025, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet (tirage : 23000, conception : Adam Hoffmeister) consacré à la participation de la République tchèque (Tchéquie - Czechia) à cette Expo 2025 Osaka.
Le timbre (tarif "Z" pour un envoi international jusqu'à 50g - 54 CZK) extrait de ce bloc-feuillet, figure sur le FDC officiel (tirage : 2400) ci-dessus, avec TAD de Prague.
Ce timbre représente le pavillon tchèque ainsi que son logo associé constitué de la mention "Czechia" et d'une feuille de tilleul, symbole de l'identité nationale tchèque.
La mascotte de ce pavillon, "René l'Exponaute", est représentée à gauche, inspirée d'une sculpture en verre du célèbre artiste verrier tchèque René Roubíček (1922-2018). Roubíček a créé cette sculpture représentant un martien dans les années 1950.
René Roubíček fut l'une des figures majeures de la verrerie tchèque du 20ème siècle. Son œuvre transcendait les frontières de l'artisanat traditionnel et se rapprochait de l'art libre. Il fut l'un de ceux qui transformèrent radicalement la perception du verre en tant que matériau : il transforma un objet utilitaire en une œuvre d'art à part entière.
Cette mascotte se veut un symbole de la créativité, de l'humour et de l'invention tchèques, valeurs que Roubíček a incarnées tout au long de sa vie.
On April 16, 2025, the Czech Post issued a souvenir sheet (print run: 23,000, design: Adam Hoffmeister) dedicated to the participation of the Czech Republic (Czechia) in this Expo 2025 Osaka.
The stamp (rate "Z" for international mail up to 50g - 54 CZK) extracted from this souvenir sheet appears on the official FDC (print run: 2,400) above, with postmarks from Prague.
This stamp depicts the Czech pavilion and its associated logo consisting of the word "Czechia" and a linden leaf, a symbol of Czech national identity.
The mascot of this pavilion, "René the Exponaut", is featured on the left, inspired by a glass sculpture by the renowned Czech glass artist René Roubíček (1922-2018). Roubíček created this sculpture of a Martian in the 1950s.
René Roubíček was one of the major figures in 20th-century Czech glassmaking. His work transcended the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship and approached the realm of free art. He was one of those who radically transformed the perception of glass as a material: he transformed a utilitarian object into a work of art in its own right.
This mascot is intended as a symbol of Czech creativity, humor, and invention, values that Roubíček embodied throughout his life.
